Visit Highlights
The South East New Territories (SENT) Landfill at Tseung Kwan O, Junk Bay is the existing waste disposal facility in South-east New Territories. The SENT Landfill receives about 5,200 tonnes of wide variety of waste per day.
During this visit, participants will realize the methods and facilities for handling daily waste. Moreover, the daily operation and maintenance management for the Landfill areas and Feasibility Study of the SENT Landfill Extension project including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) will be explored.

Fee
Free of charge. Free shuttle bus service between Kowloon Tong and the Landfill site at Tseung Kwan O will be provided.

Registration & Enquiry
For registration, please complete Registration Form in the following "On Line Registration Link''. The maximum number of participants is 50 and prior registration is required. Only the applications from BSOMES members will be accepted.
The deadline of application is 15 Mar 2015. Name of successful members will be informed by confirmation e-mail by not later than 22 Mar 2015. If the applicants have not received the confirmation e-mail on or before 29 Mar 2015, their applications will be regarded as not successful. The successful list will also be posted on BSOMES website of www.bsomes.org.hk for information.
If typhoon signal no. 8 or black rainstorm signal is in force and still hoisted after 6:30am of 11 April 2015, the technical visit would be cancelled without further arrangement or notification.

Insurance
Limited accident insurance will be particularly provided for Student Members at the venue whilst passenger insurance will be separately provided by the shuttle service provider for all passengers. If deemed necessary, participants are encouraged to arrange their own insurance for protection against any accident coverage for the whole technical visit.
