Programme Highlights
Building Refurbishment and Alteration & Addition (A&A) Works is on the rise in Hong Kong. This trend is expected to continue with aging of buildings and increasing user demands for quality buildings and facilities. It can also enhance the structural safety and match with the business needs. The distinct differences in A&A Works and New-Build projects is however insufficiently recognized and managed. In fact, A&A Works projects are subject to a number of physical and regulatory constraints. The O&M practitioners would often involve in dealing with the difficulties of A&A works by no compromise to the service quality and building operation.

In the talk, the speaker will briefly introduce the statutory procedures and requirement for A&A works. It will also have experience sharing on the previous cases to demonstrate how to carry out the A&A works in a proper and efficient way.
